Foliage Forest Floor

After an unusual start to fall it looks like it's finally here! The nights are cool, there's frost in the mornings and the leaves are all starting to change. Of course there is a slight downside to all of this, we have to put our vintage car into storage very soon. We are making the most of it and last weekend we drove out to Oxford county and did a little leaf peeping.

Star cardigan (on sale this weekend!) | Checkered shirt

While driving home from a Sunday out antiquing, we drove in our 1970 Mercury Montego past a river edged with some beautiful foliage. I was really excited to see it because this was the first sign that the leaves were finally changing!

I'm not really familiar with the area but there appeared to be a walking trail managed by the township and camping sites nearby. We did a little wandering and took so many photos. While I usually share about 8-12 photos of my outfits and our weekend adventures, AMH and I usually snap about 300 photos each weekend that don't make it on here. They are just random pictures of our surroundings, selfies of the two of us, and more often then not, they are photos of our vintage car. I enjoy taking photos outdoors but I need more practice shooting inside. If these temperatures keep dropping like this I'll be shooting indoors in no time!

I bought this star cardigan just before I left for Scotland. It was the only cardigan that I brought with me and it's been the only one I have worn since. I love the star print, very on trend as I have seen it everywhere, and well fitted. I actually ordered down a size, medium instead of my usual large, and ordered it in the tall size. I have a long torso and usually regular sizes stop just above my waist, which is why I usually order a size up. The sizing worked out perfectly, if you have the same problem that I do, try ordering a tall fit next time.
