Montreal based Lole has built a world wide following not just for their beautiful yoga/athletic wear but also for their annual Lole White Tour event.

They stage all white yoga events in some amazing locations, like last week's event under the Eiffel Tower! What an incredible view! I know a few friends who will be attending the upcoming Montreal event (Aug. 8th) and I'm checking my calendar to see if I can make the Toronto event at historic Fort York (Aug 22). I love yoga, it has taught me to slow down and breathe, and I'd love to connect with other like minded individuals.

A few of my favourite items from their website are:

Monochromatic outfit in Orchid Shop this look

The Central Tank Top has a built in high impact bra and comes in a variety of colours

Add the Cutest Leggings in white to the above tank and you've got your outfit for #Lolewhite

Balance 2 Shorts in Amalfi Blue Sugar Cube

Each one of these pieces can be worn interchangeably throughout the entire year!

I Glow Travel Yoga Mat in stock yellow

We can't forget about a yoga mat. Those of us that have tried to bring a yoga mat on their travels knows the true value of this folded travel yoga mat.

You can shop Lole online, visit them in store or visit a speciality retailer. Find the closest location to you HERE and while there sign up for a future Lole White in Whistler, Montreal, Toronto, New York or Los Angeles!

Drop me a line if you plan on attending!

Cambie Design

Canada Day is this Wednesday so I'm dedicating this week to Canadian businesses that I love.

Cambie Design is an online and brick & mortar shop in the Parkdale neighbourhood of Toronto (1535A Queen Street West). I started following the shop on Instagram a few weeks ago and quickly fell in love with the Peruvian blankets they photograph so often. I have not yet had the opportunity to visit them instore, hopefully that changes this summer!

A few of my favourites

Beige & White Blanket I know my friend White Cabana would love this one!

The blankets are approximately 55x72" in size and made up of 20% hand spun alpaca wool and 80% acrylic fibres to add to strength to the fabric.  At $100 each they are the perfect gift for special occasions or even as a gift for yourself! I am currently coveting the Orange & White, I think it would make the perfect throw for my brown leather couch and would pop next to all my blue & white pottery.

Summer at The Art of Home

The Art of Home is my favorite local gift and home decor shop located at 53 Main Street in the heart of Galt (technically it's Cambridge but locals still refer to it as Galt). I visited and blogged about them last Christmas and decided to show you around now that summer is officially here!

I love these wicker bicycle baskets! And I find it so adorable that they have a fresh water dish out for their four legged shoppers.

There is so much summer on this table, where to start! The blue and green glasses would look great on an outdoor table but my favorite is the navy blue table runner and the wicker food covers.

These would make such a special gift for a new mom, they fit any style of nursery decor.

Some updates on the pillows (I'm a sucker for pillows and monogramming).

The children's section is fully stocked and waiting for those summer birthday parties!

The Art of Home has a large assortment of beautiful cards for every occasion. Some are so beautiful I just want to frame them like the flamingo birthday card. It's too cute!

I love the display of scarves, there are so many colors to choose from! I left with the light blue and white polka dot infinity scarf (bottom row, fourth from the left) and I have my eye on the bright blue and white with hot pink scarf (top row, fifth from the left).

I sent this in a text to my mom the minute I saw it. She's in the middle of a total house renovation and since her theme is nautical I knew she would like this anchor hook.

I think these bottle openers would make for great hostess gifts! You could use raffia or a bright coloured ribbon to tie these onto a few bottles of a favourite beer (preferably craft beer) for instant gift giving!

I am so in love with Turkish Bath Towels and less than 24 hours ago The Art of Home announced on their Instagram page they are on sale to celebrate the early days of summer!

The shop is owned and operated by two sisters and their mom. Mom told us that she brought these magnificent peonies in from her garden. Now that's a garden tour I have to see!

Special thanks to Jordana of White Cabana for noticing that I match the store and suggesting a photo!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love The Art of Home and I managed to get my friend Jordana and my mom on board (my mom ordered some egg cups over their Instagram last week!) I hope to get you on board as well.

See you in Galt!

The Westin Cleveland Downtown

Last weekend my family and I visited Cleveland, Ohio (links here and here). We were looking for a hotel within walking distance to Progressive Field and after a quick search we decided to stay at The Westin Cleveland Downtown.

The hotel recently underwent a massive renovation that included updating the rooms and lobby and the addition of a full service Starbucks and farm to table restaurant. Before our visit I read through the online book The Cleveland Collection, Art of the Westin and was really excited to see the local art in person.

Cellular by Olga Ziemska. A calm, peaceful looking sculpture of a human head is covered in slices of trees that were cut down to make way for a bridge to connect the Tremont neighborhood to downtown Clevelend.

A living green wall at the entrance to the onsite restaurant, Urban Farmer.

There is so much to take in while waiting in the lobby. My favourite part is the amazing light fixtures.

The deconstructed chandelier is hauntingly beautiful.

There are two of these light fixtures hanging in the lobby. The light glistens through the many light bulbs and makes for some interesting light and shadow patterns below.

I always appreciate beverage stations in the lobby. There is nothing more welcoming than a warm beverage in the winter or a crisp fruit flavored water in the summer!

There is a full service Starbucks on the premises which is terribly convenient for those of us that are coffee addicts.

Moving onto the rooms. What I loved most was the separate living room. The couch converted to a queen sized bed, the youngest slept here, and he stayed up late watching Cartoon Network and never once disturbed us.

Everything you need for a night away from home, a safe, fridge, tv, coffee maker and

lots of water! I drink an unbelievable amount of water and yes I did drink all three bottles.

The Westin Heavenly Bed. Hotel beds are always so comfortable and I'd love to know how they get the sheets to be so crisp and cool!

We had a view of Lake Erie from our bedroom. Before the lake is Cleveland City Hall and on the left hand side you can see the Cleveland Browns football stadium!

The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries, plush towels and robes and I just adored the blue and white tile in the shower!

View of the hotel from the corner of St Clair & E 6th St.

Blue hydrangeas (my favorite!) in the parkette adjacent to the hotel.

Our stay was a quick one but a lovely one. One feature that I didn't have time to try out was the WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio. At 3000 sq.ft it's Cleveland's largest hotel fitness center! The hotel entered a partnership with New Balance and created the New Balance Gear Lending program. For only $5 US you can borrow a pair of shoes and workout clothing. All you need to do is call Service Express from the hotel, provide them your size information and they will deliver everything to your room. The shoes come with fresh socks for you to keep and a mesh bag for to leave everything in when you are done. It's such an exciting program and one that I hope to take advantage of in the future (I very much dislike traveling with workout clothes and shoes). Please let me know in the comments if you have participated in this program!

Many thanks to the incredible staff at The Westin for making our stay a memorable one and to Karen for assisting us with our reservation!

WOW Wednesday with Crystal Reia - Be in the Present

I’ve heard it a thousand times... LOL heck I’m probably guilty of it myself at times! I’ll start Monday... or I’ll get that work out in tomorrow. So why do we do this to ourselves? We push off the inevitable and we end up more miserable for it. Then a week from today we are wishing we had just started a week ago or a year ago with those healthier changes!  And around and around it goes!

I think some of it might be related to our natural capacity for “over thinking” in the past too much and also worrying about hitting those future goals might seem overwhelming... but meanwhile here we are “IN THE PRESENT” doing nothing. We sit and wallow of what might have been instead of embracing today and making the most of it!

So what change are you going to do today to better yourself for tomorrow! Even the smallest of changes can make the biggest impacts to your health and wellbeing. Eventually all those little things can add up if you are consistent.

Being “Present” also applies to your everyday activities. If your mind and heart is not in it, it’s hard to reap the benefits. When my clients come to me, I get so much more out of them and their workouts if they are 100% invested in the present and what they are doing. Not thinking about what happened at work earlier, or where they might have to go later. Taking that one hour for themselves to take a “time out” for their wellbeing, body and mind is more important than you know!

Just something to think about when you are working out next time! Focusing on the movements, your muscles, your energy and how it feels will get you those results you are looking for much sooner.

So my quick words of advice? “Always be 100% invested in the present, your mind, body and spirit will thank you for it!”

Short and sweet today folks! Have a fit & fab week!

Cleveland Indians Kids Clubhouse

Yesterday I shared some photos from the Family Social Suite, today I want to show you another recent addition to Progressive Field, the Kids Clubhouse!

This two story, indoor/outdoor interactive area has something for every age group. The outdoor areas are great for those kids that really love the game (best suited for older children) and the indoor area is great for little ones.

K Zone Pitching Interactive makes you the pitcher in this interactive video game. You have a few chances to strike out the player, it focuses on speed and aim.

Tribe Tracker Running Activity let's you practice stealing home!

The Batting Cage is by far the most popular attraction in the outdoor area. There is an assortment of batting helmets and bats to choose from. The youngest had a great time in the batting cage.

Little League Park presented by Keybank is a scaled down version of a ball diamond. There were lots of staff on hand so even if only one child entered to play they had a team ready to go!

A bench! There are quite a few areas for mom and dad to relax while the kiddos run around and burn off some energy before, or even during, the game.

Inside the Kids Clubhouse there are two floors of interactive experiences, games, toys, food and even this giant two story bat slide!

The youngest tried his hand at Hot Corner, which is a baseball version of whac-a-mole.

For the littlest baseball fans there are plenty of toys, slides, see-saws and little kitchens to play with.

View from the upper level of the Kids Clubhouse deck. The area is protected, you can see the netting at the front, so no need to worry about stray balls ending up near you. You get a great view of the game, that way mom and dad don't have to miss out on the action while the little ones play!
