This week I had one of those days that just seemed to get busier and busier as the day wore on. Just before I left work The Youngest changed his piano lesson and that meant that instead of having a few hours between work and driving him I had to leave work early, eat a microwaveable frozen meal and hop back into the car! It's the life of a mom (I should point out The Oldest and AMH were in The 6ix for a Jays game) and I'm not complaining because both boys are in high school his year and that means we are only a few short years away from being empty-nesters! *This is where the husband and I secretly high five each other*

Since it was just me and The Youngest for the night, I planned a little after dinner picnic. Nothing fancy, just some gummy bears (his fave), a few peaches, a bag of Cape Cod chips, Tate's double chocolate chip cookies and some bottles of Cracker Barrel sweet tea. Like I said, nothing fancy but it was perfect for a 14 year old boy! And as always, it's a bribe to take my photos!

Since I was coming straight from the office I wore my work clothes but grabbed my new vintage jean jacket since the nights are starting to get cooler. It's the perfect late summer cover up and I just love the look of a pretty dress and jean jacket (it's the country girl in me!). My Levi's jacket, which I bought from White Tiger Vintage in Kitchener, is the women's boyfriend fit which I highly recommend. I tried on the women's regular fit and had to size up two full sizes and still felt like if I wore a sweater I wouldn't be able to bend my arms. The boyfriend fit is looser and longer, hitting the waist. It's still tapered for a feminine look and I just love it. It takes me back to being a teenager in the 90's when we all wore jean jackets! I think this is the only 90's look that I am ok with coming back, the rest can stay in the past! Thank goodness we didn't have social media back then!

  1. I love the orange/blue coordination! And bribing with gummy bears...I get it...works for me, too! Have a great weekend, Rox-Anne!
