Happy Friday! There are just so many things to celebrate right now - I have officially survived my first full week at a new job (same company) and could not be happier. Each day I am learning and getting the hang of this new work, and the people? Nothing short of spectacular. I know, I'm gushing. I just really am excited about this new direction. Another thing I am excited about? This weekend I am headed out with my bff Jordana from White Cabana for a little fall antiquing. We are taking her big SUV so watch out vendors!

The snow has been flying all around us but we have not seen any of the white stuff in the Kitchener area. What we have seen is a lot of wet wind and that seems to have blown away a lot of the fall leaves. I'm very grateful that AMH and I were able to take these photos on an empty street while we were driving through the small town of Scotland, Ont. The golden leaves on these maples had coated the surrounding field and when the sun shone on it, it really looked like a field of gold. On this day I wore a thick black shirt and cardigan and threw my plaid cape on top for warmth. I bought this while visiting the UK last spring and I've been waiting for fall to come to finally wear it. It's not very thick so I have a feeling that after this weekend, it will be more of an inside clothing item. I wanted to brighten up the outfit and went with my favourite white jeans from the Gap (which are less than $20 right now!) I don't believe in only wearing white after Labour Day, I think white jeans look best in the fall and winter! And a quick shout out to the lovely team behind This & That Design Co. for making me this custom thermos clutch. They are a mother-daughter team located in Hamilton, Ont. It's the perfect little bag to hold some cards, cash, and my iPhone. It's easy to throw into a larger tote and go, which is exactly what I will be doing this weekend!

In keeping with my super-happy-Friday, I want you to tell me something that went well this week!

  1. Great cape! Perfect for the in-between season time! And look at the fall colours. Totally beautiful! Congrats again on the new gig! Glad to hear it's off to a wonderful start. See you soon!
