Christkindl Market

Yesterday was the closing day of the 2016 Christkindl Market in Downtown Kitchener. The market has been bringing traditional German Christmas markets to town for the past 20 years! Each year we try to make it to see what gifts vendors are selling, what new food vendors there are, and to enjoy the sights all around (I posted what we saw on Instagram Stories). The giant Christmas tree, outdoor stage with singers and dancers and the live donkey stable in front of City Hall are always great places to start your visit. Inside City Hall there are vendors selling a wide range of items, and another large tree (the perfect spot for selfies!). But I think my favourite spot is just outside of the hustle and bustle of City Hall where the horse drawn carriages are. The horses were really friendly and clearly they were enjoying all the attention they were getting.

I bought this a-mazing red Calvin Klein coat during The Bay's Black Friday sale just in the nick of time because it was fairly cool yesterday at the Christkindl Market but last night the temperatures dropped and it finally snowed! I'll be wearing this down filled coat this morning. And I couldn't leave the house without my Hudson's Bay stripe hat and mitts. Each year I buy the new olympic theme gloves but this year I opted for the Bay stripes instead.

What adventures did you get up to this weekend? Don't forget to follow me in Instagram @Celebratingthislife. I'm pretty much glued to IG Stories!
