Pops of Red

spring outfit

A pop of red was exactly what I needed on an otherwise grey day.

I have to say, I'm so happy the week is finally over. Not because it was an overly busy or stressful week, but rather the weather was so up and down! I had to alternate turning on the heat and the air conditioning in the house because the outside temperature went from -1 to +20 in the same day! On the day that The Youngest and I went to shoot these pictures in Victoria Park, it was warm and sunny when we left for his drums lesson and an hour later, it was grey, drizzly and cold! We barely made it through taking these photos it was so chilly, thank goodness for heated seats in the car!

I'm so in love with these red Baublebar earrings. They were just the pop of colour that my blue and white outfit needed! The earrings have a little more weight to them than I was expecting so I'm going to reserve them for occasions where I need a little pop to an outfit, and won't need to wear them all day. The little red flats that I picked up two weeks ago have quickly become my go to shoe, I've worn them all week! Like all flats, they are easy to slip on when your on your way out. They make adding a little colour to an outfit super easy, which is what we all want - nice and easy style solutions. I can barely function in the mornings, I certainly don't want to worry about what shoes to wear!

Have a great weekend and I'll see you all back here Monday!

  1. I love the pop(s) of red in this outfit! The pom pom earrings are a blogger's best friend! The red definitely looks great against the navy & white! Another classic (spring?!) look!
