Canada 150 Celebrations

Canada Day

This July 1st marks the 150th year of Canada's Confederation and with celebrations happening, well, everywhere there is no excuse to not get out there and celebrate. My family and I are still on the fence about which celebration we will be attending, there are just so many and they all sound amazing! If you're in the same boat, you've come to the right place. We still have two days to make plans and today I'm listing out all the great celebrations by province so no matter where you are in Canada, you can get out there and celebrate the true north, strong and free!

Easy Weeknight Meal: Mexican Pizza

I feel like I am saying this every week, but this one is going to be a busy one. And hopefully it's the last busy one of the summer! The kids are officially done school tomorrow and The Oldest is graduating high school tomorrow (cue the mom waterworks). The end is in sight but to get to the easy breezy weeks that summer brings, I need to get through this week.

Summer Road Trip Series: Lewiston, New York

road trip travel guide

It's officially summer and that means it's time to kick off the Celebrating This Life Summer Road Trip Series! The first destination is a small town town that I visit at least once each summer, Lewiston, New York.

Niagara Stripes

On our last morning in Lewiston, NY, we decided to get up early and enjoy a nice quiet breakfast and take a walk along the waterfront.

Shirtdress Stroll

summer style

After a day of site-seeing in Historic Lewiston, NY in the hot, hot sun, it was time to cool off and watch the sun set on a waterfront patio.

Ruffled Under The Collar

To say it was hot this past weekend would be an understatement. According to my car's temperature gauge it was 92 degrees! I was awfully hot under the collar, or more accurately hot under the ruffles on my collar.

Martha Stewart Turkey Hill Garden Tour

Yes, it finally happened. I met Martha Stewart. It's been a whole two days and it still hasn't fully sunk in yet. Before I attended the Martha Stewart Turkey Hill Garden Tour, wonderfully organized by local Westport charity Positive Directions, everyone asked me what I would say to the woman who has been influencing me since before I hit double digits. It was something I quietly contemplated for a good two weeks.

Can't Talk Right Now, I'm Meeting Martha

I'm taking a few days off to road trip with my mom to Westport, Connecticut to meet the one and only Martha Stewart.

June Reading List

I can't believe it's June already! This year is really blowing by and I hope it slows down a little so we can all enjoy #Summer17
