Couples Gift Guide

gifts for couples

Do you know a recently married couple? Have a couple in your family that you still haven't found a Christmas gift for? Or maybe, you're part of a couple and buying a secret gift to place under the tree has never really been your thing.
Then this couples gift guide is for you! I've always found that buying for each member of a couple is tough business. Instead of just figuring out one gift, you've got to come up with two totally unique and thoughtful gifts! Well, this year why not gift something that comes in pairs, or one special gift for the couple to share! And if you're like me and AMH, you just buy eachother things you need and then use them on Christmas day!

Monogram mugs reg $60, on sale $29 | Fossil His & Hers watches | Aprons on sale $15.95
Monopoly Luxury Edition | Ugg blanket | Patagonia women's & men's puffer coats
Vineyard Vines men's shirt & Women's sweater | L.L.Bean slippers women's & men's

A few years ago, AMH and I bought each other monogrammed mugs for Christmas. And I'm not talking about the cheapies you get from Indigo or Anthro. I mean honest to goodness luxurious mugs. They were worth every penny! They have a great sturdy feel to them and because they are well made, they have lasted all these years. They actually look very similar to these Lenox ones I've included, but at a much better price point! Box up two with the couples initial and add a box of hot cocoa. I just bought this hot chocolate for us to use on Christmas day!

I've noticed an increase in his and hers watch sets but none look as good as this navy Fossil set. With a navy face and matching straps, this set is sure to please the couple no matter what their personal style is. And the decent price point is sure to please the gift giver.

Have a couple of homebodies on your list? How about a luxury edition of Monopoly? I know this one has long been on my family's Christmas Wish List. My only hesitation? Do you know what happens when you take four highly competitive family members and give them a Monopoly board? Nothing good, I tell you what!

Less competitive and much more cozy are these L.L.Bean slippers. It's the Christmas gift they will use all year long, much like the soft-as-can-be Ugg blanket. Did you know Ugg made housewares? They do and they're as well made as the Ugg boots you secretly love but don't wear outside anymore (we need to bring back this early '00s fashion piece!) They also make dog pajamas too! Yes, I bought a pair for Ivy but sadly I had to return them as she sprouted overnight and grew out of them before she even got to wear them.

The foodies in your life will appreciate a set of Williams-Sonoma aprons. There are so many colours to choose from, but I think classic red looks especially festive. Actually, this is the second year I have included them on a Christmas gift guide, I truly think they are a great gift! I have one at home and it makes me feel like a true chef, even when I'm just making a few grilled cheeses. They're currently on sale so for 32 and tax, you've got a great couples gift!

This year, AMH and I are looking to our closets to see what we need. We've already bought ourselves a coordinated oxford for him and Shep sweater for me from Vineyard Vines. They're a Christmas gift to each other that we can enjoy on Christmas Day (should look pretty cute in photos too!)

Still on my wish list is a set of matching Patagonia nano puff jackets. I bought a pink one last year and I can't believe how warm it is, especially because it's so thin! I think matching black ones would look great, and keep us warm, when we hit the slopes next year. We love downhill skiing and I am just itching to get outside once we finally get a decent snowfall. Any outdoors loving couple on your Christmas shipping list would love these too!
