Is it even the Christmas season if you didn't visit a tree farm?

We've been having a lot of fun with our new puppy, Ivy, in the Celebrating This Life household. She's been a great distraction while the dreaded cold/flu worked its way through our family for the past three weeks. As soon as everyone was feeling on the mend, we decided that we needed to get outdoors. But where to go on a cold, snowy weekend? To the tree farm!

We walked and looked at trees, and Ivy even saw her first barn kitty! Let's just say it's a good thing I am allergic to cats because even if we could get one, I don't think it would last long with Ivy. We snapped a few photos and ultimately decided that we didn't feel well enough to chop down our own tree. It's actually a bit of a running joke that every time we head to a tree farm we end up leaving empty handed for one reason or another. I think from now on, this will just be our photo op place.

I am a total outfit repeat offender here. I wore the same sweater and plaid shirt back in 2015 on a trip to this same Christmas tree farm! It was a lot colder on this year's visit so I added my trusty long red coat (old, Calvin Klein, here's a similar one), Hunter Boots and my Hudson's Bay mittens. My exact Christmas sweater is no longer available but there are some really cute ones this year that I'll include some links to below.

Ivy was well dressed in her Christmas sweater that I bought from Winners, a star hair beret from Joe Fresh (in the little girl accessories area) and her L.L.Bean Boot leash & collar. Ivy loves playing dress up and this Christmas sweater is probably her favourite. She will run away if you try and take it off of her! It's a size large, the largest they had in store, and at the rate she is growing she only has a few more weeks until it's too small. But don't feel bad for her, she has quite a few more sweaters and coats that are in the next size up just waiting.
